And unfortunately, my knowledge of ESS isn't very sufficient, and I'm not really going to go and learn ESS. Although, I can try to get ES 2.x working on your server. And because ES 2.x does not really do anything on its own, I don't see how it can crash, rather, just the mods you're running. Which mods were you running when it was crashing? Download this version
